HOW DOES CYNF WORK?

• CYNF enables people to group their friends together to share their DVDs, CDs, Games, Books, Tools etc. Think of it this way, you have 20 friends (or friends of friends), each buys one DVD a month. That means that if you were to use CYNF you would have a virtual library growing by 20 DVDs a month!
   
• CYNF solves the three lending problems:

  Knowing what there is to borrow
  CYNF provides a unique and powerful way to see what your friends are willing to lend without going to all their houses 

  Knowing that your friend is willing to lend it
  When friends enter items into CYNF they decide there and then who can borrow the items, so if you can see it you are pre-approved to ask. 

  Knowing that it will get returned
  Simple. CYNF emails reminders every 4 days until the item is returned, no more embarassing "Um, can I have that book back, you know the one, umm, about..."

• CYNF works from your browser just like any other website, there are no complicated downloads, no software upgrades and no issues about backing up data - we do it for you. It is available 24/7 from anywhere in the world.
   
• Simply sign-up, start adding items you are willing to share and then invite some friends. Soon they will do the same and you will be on your way to creating a virtual library.
   
• CYNF enables the downloading of asset lists for insurance purposes. You can record all important details about your assets including purchase and warranty information.

WHAT ABOUT DAMAGE TO MY ITEMS?

• The notes field on any given asset can be used to indicate the state of the item prior to loan and can be checked upon return.
   
• How do you currently deal with damage when friends borrow items now? If you don't know them well, limit their access by making them level 3.
   
• What is the risk? What is one DVD is worth compared to the 10 textbooks you could borrow for the term?
   
• If someone is not treating your items with respect reduce their access level or exclude them from your network completely. Your friends will thank you for it.

HOW SECURE IS CYNF?

• We ask only for basic information to identify you to your friends. We certainly do not ask for last names and all other information is optionally provided. If you want to use nicknames you are welcome.
   
• CYNF uses 128 bit SSL encryption on login.
   
• CYNF was handcoded using server-side scripting to keep your data from prying eyes.
   
• CYNF is hosted on our dedicated server/s, housed in a state-of-the-art datacentre and is professionally firewalled.
   
• Your password is encrypted so even our staff can't see it.
   
• CYNF uses our patent pending security engine so you have complete control over who sees what and who is in your network.
   
• All credit card transactions are handled by the National Australia Bank, a leading Australian bank. We never see your credit card information.
